When getting deeper into the bowels of this mess, and you get closer to the politics/sales, etc. don’t you get threatened and become fearful of retaliation against you as the investigative reporter?

Wow, I’ve written and read about this issue before – but I didn’t realize the extent that it was happening. More slaves today than at any other point in our history?! How did we get here?

This saddens me and breaks my heart. I hope more people speak up on this matter and make this a priority on our list of tikkun olam, fixing the world.

Thanks for this article. After reading, I joined Free The Slaves and emailed their volunteer coordinator about getting an event going at the local university where I sometimes lecture. Also, I want to mention Sheriff Dart of Chicago who has been in the news for bringing a lawsuit against Craig’s list for their “erotic services” section. The Chicago police department has busted multiple people off Craig’s list for human trafficking, including minors. It’s easy to send an email to the Sheriff to give him support in this. I work with the pro-life ministry in singles for christ. And I believe human trafficking is just as important as the prayers we are giving for abortion. I will suggest your websites and book to our pro-life ministry and hopefully we can increase awareness of how women and kids are being abused, and how it is taking away their dignity and desire to live and prosper.
