I wonder how man christians laugh or keep watching the show when the openly mock jesus and christianity like when Jesus shows up, joins the pussycat dolls, gets drunk and lands in jail.

Like any art, it’s a matter of the beholder’s interpretation. Seth McFarlane may indeed be an anti-religious bigot, but just because he sees things that way doesn’t necessarily mean that we have to see it in the same way. We filter what we receive through our own personalities and perceptions. An avowed atheist may regard the Bible with disgust at its fantastic leaps of logic while a faithful Christian may take those same leaps of logic to be evidence of faith and God’s miracles.

I have seen enough episodes of “Family Guy” to get an idea of what they really think of religion. He doesn’t just joke about religious culture. He attacks our Father. When you mock God and disrespect Jesus Christ, you go too far. If you read the bio of Seth McFarlane, you understand why he does this. I don’t think anyone should watch that show.

This is a very edgy piece but i think the rabbi has a point. Family Guy is trying to be offensive therefore it not really offending in ignorance but rather the show has a deeper message!

I agree! I love family guys but this episode was just too much. Especially the Amon G√∂th part was just going too far. I understand that several individual on the show are jewish and some of the jokes are very good but there was a little bit too much in this one.
