Lent Quotable

The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the alms-house as brightly as from the rich man’s abode.
— Henry David Thoreau

Fast from a treat.

Pray for those whose basic sustenance is not being met, around the world or in your town. (The World Health Organization estimates that one third of the world is well fed, one third is underfed and one third is starving. Every 3.6 seconds, someone on our planet dies of hunger.)

Give the money you save in your FastPrayGive Bowl. (Your FastPrayGive Bowl is a container you set aside to hold the money saved from various fasting challenges to be used for whatever charity you choose at the end of Lent.)

Slipped up? Don’t give up. Start again and share your
struggles at our “Slip Support Station” on Facebook.
Today’s Prize is: the DVD “Yoga Prayer: An Embodied Christian Spiritual Practice” with Fr. Tom Ryan, CSP

To win today’s prize: Give us your name and email address along with the email address of one friend you’d like to introduce to BustedHalo.com® using the form below by 3 a.m. EST tonight. Karla, The idea is to save the money yourself throughout Lent and give away what you’ve accumulated at the end…

I’m confused. Am I supposed to give the money in the PrayFastGive Bowl today, or at the end of lent? I thought it was supposed to be at the end of lent…?
