Return to the Lent calendar.

Lent Quotable

This is what you shall do: love the earth and sun, and animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence towards the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown, or to any man or number of men; go freely with the powerful uneducated persons, and with the young, and mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re examine all you have been told at school or church, or in any books, and dismiss whatever insults your soul.
— Walt Whitman

Fast from buying a morning paper and read it online instead.

Pray about whoever needs help in the world that you have read about in the news.

Give the cost of the print edition of the newspaper to your FastPrayGive Bowl. (Your FastPrayGive Bowl is a container you’ve set aside to hold the money saved from various fasting challenges, to be used for whatever charity you choose at the end of Lent.)

Slipped up? Don’t give up. Start again and share your
struggles at our “Slip Support Station” on Facebook.
Today’s Prize is: a copy of The Green Bible

This is a really difficult one for me as I look forward to buying the Saturday edition of a National Newspaper!
I will try the online version, but always like to hold the paper in my hands….
