Your article was very insightful. It really hits the bull’s-eye not just for college seniors, but for all of us older professionals who face an uncertain employment future. For the past two semesters, I’ve been teaching Freshman Writing part-time at two universities, and tutoring and subbing; it’s not easy, and, as an adjunct instructor, you don’t know if you’ll have classes to teach semester to semester. You just do what you think is meaningful work and cross your fingers.

Your article gave great insight into what most seniors in college are feeling. It gives us, as adults, a better understanding of the emotions that our children are experiencing during this period of their lives. Very well written.

Very good article, Jen! Glad to know its not just us 50-somethings who are alittle frightened of change. Hiring freezes are a fact of life right now, but talented people like you will always do well. (And a friend of mine just got a NEW job today!)
