We’re Counting on You!

I hope you’ll join me this season in supporting Busted Halo® in our annual Double Your Dollars Holiday Fund Drive.

The things you enjoy every day on Busted Halo® — Daily Jolts and MicroChallenges, thought-provoking articles, blogs and columns, 2-Minute Videos for Holy Days and the Sacraments 101 video series, the Busted Halo® Cast and Homilies Podcast — are all made possible by donor support. Specifically, the new Busted Halo® Advent Surprise Calendar and Advent in 2 Minutes Video provide a connection with the spiritual foundation of the season and challenge us to remember the true meaning of this time of year.

We rely on you and your fellow readers to help provide the financial backing needed to deliver Busted Halo® and its relevant content for your spiritual journey.

This holiday season you have the opportunity to make twice the impact with your gift to Busted Halo® during our Double Your Dollars Holiday Fund Drive. This year’s matching-gift sponsors have seen the great impact Busted Halo® has had on the future of our church, and they’re calling you to action. They’ve pledged up to $15,000 in matching gifts to help your contributions mean that much more to the young adults who turn to Busted Halo®.

We need you to help us reach our goal! Please take this opportunity to express the importance of our ministry by supporting Busted Halo® with your donation. Every contribution — whatever amount you can afford — will go a long way here. We’ll turn it into the fun and informative articles, videos and podcasts about faith and culture that you expect from Busted Halo®. Donate online today and help us continue to be the place where young people find inspiration for living a faith-filled life.

Thank you, and may God bless you
and your loved ones this Christmas,

Fr. Dave Dwyer, CSP
Director of Busted Halo®

Mischell, thank you for sharing your story. We here at Busted Halo understand the challenges you and others face and very much want you to find messages of hope in this month’s Advent Calendar, Alternative Advent blog, and other Busted Halo stories. If you can’t give — don’t worry, the Advent Calendar is filled with many spiritual specific MicroChallenges for our daily lives that don’t cost a dime – come to the calendar and do what you can, we want you to get as much out of it as possible so you have a blessed and fulfilling Advent.

We only ask that people give what they can to our Holiday Fund Drive. At times when someone can’t give, we are hopeful that others will step up to help, so that the entire Busted Halo community continues to grow.

Busted Halo will continue to be a place to come for inspiration, spiritual growth, and insight into how faith and culture meet in today’s world for ALL — no matter the capacity to make a financial gift.

I understand you being a not-for-profit. But, my husband has been without work for over 2 years and I only make $9,000 take home. The 3 of us barely get by. I was looking for an Advent program of Hope and all I get is hands out. We are facing loosing all our worldly possessions and we just needed something for the soul. I guess that cost too these days.
