Excellent Podcast and a very true issue! I have seen mid-life and adult singles groups published with a hint of stigma in their wording / written tone… and it seems that the reader is hinting to the desired “activity” at the focus. There was a time, within generation x teachings, where leaders focused on faith in action (missions / ministries / live the gospels / Pope J.P. 2, etc.) 35+ adults and couples without kids are often left out of the loop – recalling the glory days they enjoyed from youth group / college retreats / etc. – my advice to the question asker – find or post an activity / ministry of your favorite interest and tie in the faith… Catholics Campout? Holy Frijole Hike? Catholi-tech Club? Pint & a Prayer? Drama Dudes? Clown Ministry? Eco-Green Ministry? Cruise with Christ Retreat? What ever it is – If you are from Gen X – you already know that God can be present in all activities… and the 80 year olds who want to join in can be pretty fun too if they share the same interests as you – and may be counting on you to get the “good clean fun” started!
