Are Protestants Baptized a Second Time If They Join the Catholic Church?

A caller is curious about the Catholic Church and wonders if someone who has been baptized in a Protestant denomination but wants to become Catholic would need to be baptized a second time.

Father Dave clears up this baptism quandary and explains that adults who want to join the Catholic church go through an RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program. However, if they were baptized in another Christian church, they do not need to be baptized again, as Catholics believe in the one baptism.
