Thank you for this great interview. I’m a baptist minister and a huge fan of Glee, in no small part because it does so well what Ian describes here–delivers a message full of heart in a wonderfully snarky, relevant, and punchy way that gets through to people and stays with them long after the show ends. I wish the show had been on the air when I was doing youth ministry; I’d have made weekly youth group or Sunday school classes just be watching the week’s episode and discussing what went on, because it speaks to kids directly in language and images they can hear and relate to.

I really enjoyed this interview! My 19 year old daughter is a HUGE fan of the show. I have watched the show a few times and really like it also. After listening to the interview I want to make it a point to watch the show more often. Definitely appreciate that there is something decent to wathc on TV and decent, thoughtful, faithful people out there writing and working. Thank-you!

    Fr. Dave:

You are a fabulous interviewer. I can see why your radio show is so popular. And for the record: a lot of Ian’s passion for social justice comes in large part from my Paulist training and experience.
