The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. As good as we’ve tried with metaphors and images to try to explain and understand the Holy Trinity, we must strive to not let our brains get in the way of our hearts. We need to embrace and experience the beautiful mystery instead of trying to break it down. (Preached on Sunday, June 19, 2011, St. Paul the Apostle Church, 59th St. and Columbus Ave., New York City)
