I just want to clarify that scientific analysis has demonstrated that the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is NOT a painting if you are defining a painting as: "The representing of a subject on a surface by the application of paint or colors". I say that because microscopic examination revealed that there were no brush strokes on the image. In fact, many including me, believe it to be a miraculous image.
