He has covered some of the biggest events in South Africa's turbulent history, including Nelson Mandela's release from prison after 27 years and the country's transition to democracy. He currently works as a freelance journalist and copy editor. Among several other roles, he is also a copy editor on the South African Catholic magazine, The Southern Cross.
