The National Eucharistic Revival concluded this past Sunday with the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, and Father Dave welcomes back Catholic speaker and ministry consultant Mari Pablo to discuss what happens next. Mari also discusses her new ministry “In His Heart,” which launches on Friday, June 27th, this year’s Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
She explains the National Eucharistic Revival’s call to become Eucharistic Missionaries as the official revival ends. “The past three years were just a reminder of what our mission is as Catholics and how we should live it out,” she says. “Your love for the Eucharist and the invitation to live it out should continue forever, until we pass away.” The Revival launched a 5-part training called “Become” for those looking to participate in a more formal way.

“It really comes back to spending time with Jesus, having that encounter with the Lord, being transformed by him, and then wanting to share him with others,” Mari continues. “You don’t have to go to another country. You don’t have to go anywhere. It’s about who’s around you and being able to share with your family, parish, and community.”
Mari adds, “In the way that you treat people and the way that you are living, is there something different in you? It’s because we had that encounter. As Catholics, we know that the fullness of an encounter with Jesus is going to be in the Eucharist, because it’s his body, blood, soul, and divinity.”
Mari also is a ministry consultant with The Evangelical Catholic, and she explains how spreading the Gospel does not need to be complicated. “You can evangelize and not say Jesus. How are you living, and how are you portraying yourself? Someone who didn’t know what I did or anything like that asked me, ‘Why are you so happy?’ And I’m like, ‘Jesus,’” Mari says.
“Evangelization doesn’t have to be anything broad, but if someone asks you what you did this weekend and you went to Mass, just maybe mention Mass and don’t purposely skip it because you want to avoid [the conversation],” she says. “If you know Jesus and [someone] asks you a question, don’t be afraid to share your testimony. You don’t have to preach at them. You should just share your story, and how has your life been transformed by him or something that brought you joy.”

On this year’s Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Mari will be launching a new ministry in English and Spanish called “In His Heart” to help people connect with this devotion. “Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque is the one that Jesus revealed his Sacred Heart to, and she has a quote that says, ‘I need nothing but God and to lose myself in his Sacred Heart,’” Mari says. “I want people to really know this love that he has for you is beautiful and intense.”
“Everything that I’m doing [with] ‘In His Heart’ ministry is going to be bilingual, offering talks, retreats, and resources from counseling, to Theology of the Body, to different ways to encounter his heart and really spread that horizon,” she continues. “The logo [we] created is our hearts inside the Sacred Heart. That’s the mission — what does that unity look like? How do we get there? How do we find consolation there and restoration? So it’s a lot of inner healing, and just for people to know that they’re valued, loved, and seen by him.”
