A beautiful thought, definitely something I am always working on. I appreciate this calendar so much. Thank you to all those who worked on creating it.

While I LOVE the quote by Buddha, I was expecting a quote from St. Patrick, as it’s his name day today! His Breastplate quote is an amazing reminder of how our lives are to be lived.
Thanks for the calendar! It’s made Lent better for me this year. Blessings!

Or the Mass…? But who am I to question the Buddha?

Chuck -- March 17th, 2010 at 1:13 pm

Isn’t the greatest prayer the Mass? But who I am I to question the Buddha?…..

I just wanted to add another “thank-you” for the Lenten calendar…it has been a very creative inspiration for me so far these 40 days…

I’m with you Chuck.

Chuck & Jen,

Although you are right when it comes to our faith, yes Mass is the most important thing for us. Apparently when it came to Buddha and his way of teaching this was his greatest prayer, it’s called having an open mind and thinking outside the box guys… after all that is kind of the whole point of this Lenten calendar that Busted Halo has been so awesome to create for us.

Keep up the great work Busted Halo, I love how you have managed to incorporate many different belief structures in to this Lenten challenge!!!!

I’m just glad that it wasn’t some cliche St. Patrick quote. Yes, the breastplate prayer is fantastic, but I’m so sick of this “holiday” that has once again been bastardized by the secular world.

Seems to be a great prayer for these days of fast food, high speed and Starbucks caffeinated beverages.
