Word on the Street : sloth

“What do you think sloth is?”

Sarwar, 22
About sloth, you can tell by most [American's] appearance that they are slothful…because of their weight. We also watch a lot of television and don't do things.

Lacey: When you say sloth I automatically think of dirty people, slovenly people. I guess then it would be a bad thing.

Amanda: I think it's disrespecting yourself, your body and your value as a person. I think it is a more individual [problem].

Tina: I guess when I think of sloth I think of a drunken mess. That seems like a bad thing.

I think being slothful is a bad thing. You can't work and be lazy. You can't survive living a life as someone lazy. You have to be able to take care of yourself.
Alexandria, 21
It depends if it's bad. You could make money off of it. Be a model and take pictures all day and be slothful.
Karina, 21
This is problem because for society to work all people need to work hard for society to evolve and be better. When all people are educated and work hard, it eliminates crime. It eliminates a lot of things.
John, 20
Sloth is when you don't do anything or pursue what you want to do. You're supposed to be focused and pursue what you want to do in life. The important thing is that you need to find what you want to do and most people don't know what they want to do.
Syed, 19
Sloth is being lazy. I think it's a bad thing because you aren't doing anything with your life. You're not contributing to society or working.
