Sunday of the Sixth Week in Ordinary Time. It might be an unortunate truth of human nature, but it seems that we tend to do the minimum requirement to get by sometimes. Father Dave echoes Jesus’ desire for us to “raise the bar” on our low expectations. (Preached on Sunday, February 13, 2011, St. Paul the Apostle Church, 59th St. and Columbus Ave., New York City)
