Father Dave receives an email from a listener who serves as a Eucharistic Minister at her parish. She says that she has a tendency to smile as she is serving, because distributing the Eucharist to others gives her great joy. She wonders if smiling is frowned upon, or might make others feel like she’s not reverent enough.
