My Wife Thinks I’m Wrong: About Going to Confession

Some people feel that they don’t need to participate in the sacrament of reconciliation (confession) if they truly are sorry for their sins. They make the argument that since God is all knowing and forgiving then they should be granted absolution without confession. In this segment of “My Wife Thinks I’m Wrong,” a woman has a disagreement with her husband about this very topic. She believes that her husband shouldn’t receive the Eucharist if hasn’t gone to confession in a long time, while her husband believes he doesn’t have to go to confession if he is truly sorry for his sins. Father Dave weighs in. (Original Air 10-06-16)
